About us

Meet Josh Herbert

Founder, Veteran, Mentor, Survivor

“I aged out of foster care at 17 and found myself with a diploma and nowhere to go. I lived in a shelter. I slept under a bridge. I stole food just to survive. That’s why BEAST exists — so the next young man or woman like me doesn’t have to face that alone.”

Raised in the foster system and separated from his brother at a young age, Josh spent years in a group home before aging out and becoming homeless. His path led him into the military, where he gained structure and purpose but also carried the weight of unhealed trauma. He returned home with the discipline of a soldier — and the fire of someone determined to break cycles.

Rooted in Faith

Everything we do is grounded in the belief that each person is created with purpose.
